Acat

Lord Acat

AcatAcat is a Mayan deity of whom is associated with Tattoos, Tattoo Artists and the Development of a Child in the Womb. He is often depicted as a somewhat fierce looking being covered with tattoos holding a bone needle and ink pots.

With his alignment to Tattoos, Acat focuses on the energy that goes into the body through the ink. As tattoos are seen as quite a painful and permanent thing, Acat works to make sure that the best design is chosen, as well and ensuring that the energy is pure and enhancing, rather than detrimental.

As he does this, Acat also helps the Tattoo Artists have the best energy and intent possible to make sure that what is imbued onto the physical skin is that of pure energy. In many ways, the Tattoo Artists Pen is an extension of of their arm, so what they feel whilst they work is often transferred through the ink. Acat can help to ensure that the Tattoo Artist is in the best space mentally and spiritually, as well as blessing the space that the tattooing is taking place.

Another role that Acat plays is ensuring that the development of the child in the womb goes without issue. Much like a tattoo that is a life long commitment, the carrying and birthing of a child is as well. In this regard, Acat helps the parents understand this commitment and gives them the strength to keep going even in the toughest of times.

Whilst Acat holds each of his roles close to his heart, he respects everyone’s Free Will and as such will not act unless one asks for the help. As such, a prayer is an ideal way to ask for his and God’s help. An example of a prayer that can be utilised is:

‘Dearest God, please send Acat forth to guide the Tattoo Artist’s hands so that my body art may be pure and wondrous. For this, I give thanks. Amen.’

A simple, yet very effective in bringing forth their assistance and help. Though it is very important to always remember to give thanks for all that they do.

With such help being bestowed upon anyone and everyone from God and Acat it is easy to see that anyone and everyone who wants, or is going through the process of getting a tattoo, can do so free of fear. It is also good to stop every now and then and give thanks to God and Acat for all the help they give.
