Adonis is a Greek deity of whom is aligned to the energy of Self-Love, Beauty and Masculinity. He is often shown to be a very handsome young man in a toga with a very well toned body. Sometimes he is shown holding a rose as well.

Being aligned to the energy of Self-Love, Adonis can help anyone who asks for his help in the areas of coming to realise the love that one has for themselves. This is not necessarily the way of pride or vanity, but rather the energy of taking care of the self and ensuring that the body is looked after. Adonis encourages all to work towards being able to look into the mirror, right into ones eyes and say: ‘I love you’.

As Adonis knows that he is beautiful, he desires for all others to know that they are beautiful as well. Both inside and out. This is a key thing in life as when the beauty is seen in ones self and all around, the joy and the happy and loving vibration of the individual resonates to all throughout the Cosmos. Such beauty also encourages everyone to stop and admire what is around them.

This admiration extends to the beauty of the Masculinity that is within everyone as well. All people have a masculine and a feminine side with them. The feminine side tends to focus more on the intuitive and sensual side of things, whereas the masculine tends to focus on the more logic and forceful side of things. Adonis wishes to help everyone to find this balance by using the masculine side of our selves to push things into place when things are not flowing the way they need to. Naturally there is a need to trust the feminine and intuitive side with this, as without the intuition, things may end up worse than before.

Whilst Adonis holds each of his roles close to his heart, he respects everyone’s Free Will and as such will not act unless one asks for the help. As such, a prayer is an ideal way to ask for his and God’s help. An example of a prayer that can be utilised is:

‘Dear God, I ask that you send forth Adonis to help me discover the love I have for myself and to help me see the beauty that is within me and all Creation. For this, I give thanks. Amen.’

A simple, yet very effective in bringing forth their assistance and help. Though it is very important to always remember to give thanks for all that they do.

With such help being bestowed upon anyone and everyone from God and Adonis, it is easy to see that anyone and everyone can find that self-love within themselves. It is also good to stop every now and then and give thanks to God and Adonis for all the help they give.
