Jesus is known to be the Lord and Saviour of Humanity in the Christian Faith. He is often depicted as a man with a beard, either in robes holding a lamb or in a loin cloth hanging from a cross with a crown of thorns upon his head. Jesus is known to have given his life for the sins of man as a sacrifice to God around 2000 years ago. As such he is a great healer, incredibly compassionate and ultimately forgiving.
During his physical lifetime, Jesus became known for his Healing Miracles of which included healing people with leprosy, banishing demons and even raising a man from the dead. Whilst such miracles in the modern day are not common, Jesus can guide anyone and everyone towards that which can provide the healing they need. This includes medical professional and alternative therapists.
As Jesus is incredibly compassionate, he understands the pain of illness and injury that occurs on all levels. Be it physical, mental, emotional or even spiritual, Jesus is there to help all who call upon him for help in life. Through this compassion, more often than not, comes the healing. For with compassion, anyone can forgive others and set both parties involved free from the pain.
Through forgiving oneself and others, anyone and everyone can find healing – this is where some of Jesus’ most powerful healing miracles come about. For it is written, when he was crucified, he cried out: “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” – Luke 22 : 34 (NRSV) In this request to God, all sins of humanity was forgiven. By praying to God for forgiveness through Jesus, anyone and everyone can be free of the pain that binds.
Whilst Jesus holds each of his roles close to his heart, he respects everyone’s Free Will and as such will not act unless one asks for the help. As such, a prayer is an ideal way to ask for his and God’s help. The Lord’s Prayer is a very powerful prayer to achieve this, though here is an example of another prayer that can be utilised:
‘Dearest God and Jesus, please forgive me for the sins I have committed and help me forgive those who have sinned against me. For this, I give thanks. Amen.’
A simple, yet very effective in bringing forth their assistance and help. Though it is very important to always remember to give thanks for all that they do.
With such help being bestowed upon anyone and everyone from God and Jesus, it is easy to trust that healing can come about through, compassion and forgiveness. It is also good to stop every now and then and give thanks to God and Jesus for all the help they give.
