Saint Joseph

Saint JosephSaint Joseph is known to be the husband of Mother Mary and the Earth Father of Jesus. He is often depicted as holding a lily, a stick of lavender or the baby Jesus. Having been a carpenter and a devoted husband and father, Saint Joseph has become known as the Saint of Families, Wood workers and those seeking employment.

During his lifetime, Saint Joseph worked as a carpenter to support his family that come to include Mary as his wife and Jesus, along with some lesser known children. All in all, his family was not a small one and he wanted to make sure that they were all taken care of. As such, Saint Joseph can help any an all who call upon him to ensure that their families are watched over and taken care of.

Through his work as a carpenter, Saint Joseph learned that wood is a sacred object that was given by God to help ensure that shelter, seating, tables and many other wooden items were around to help everyone. Saint Joseph recognised this importance as a carpenter and chose to hold this God-Sent gift close to his heart and use it to glorify God by doing his best with every task he set out to do. He can also help everyone and everyone that asks for his help in the ways of Wood working to ensure that God guides their hands for the beauty of the work and the safety too.

He is also known to help any and all who ask him for help in finding employment. After all, work was not always easy to come by during Saint Joseph’s physical lifetime. He would often travel many miles to find work to keep his family fed. As such, he recognises the importance of everyone having some form of income. Saint Joseph will help all who ask for help in finding employment and income through honest means.

Whilst Saint Joseph holds each of his roles close to his heart, he respects everyone’s Free Will and as such will not act unless one asks for the help. As such, a prayer is an ideal way to ask for his and God’s help. An example of a prayer that can be utilised is:

‘Dearest God and Saint Joseph, please help me look after my family and provide for them in a way that is filled with love and honesty. For this, I give thanks. Amen.’

A simple, yet very effective in bringing forth their assistance and help. Though it is very important to always remember to give thanks for all that they do.

With such help being bestowed upon anyone and everyone from God and Saint Joseph, it is easy to trust that all needs are taken care of. This is especially the case when it is done honestly, and the focus is to help support one’s family. And if one is already employed, it is a good thing to stop every now and then and give thanks to God and Saint Joseph for all the help they give.
