Goddess Lakshmi

LakshmiLakshmi is a deity who is known to be the Goddess of Prosperity, Good Fortune and Divine Blessings in Hindu Cosmology. As such, she is often depicted as a beautiful woman with four to eight arms, dark hair, flowing gold robes standing on a pink lotus. In her hands she often holds a lotus, a book, a conch and a bag with gold coins flowing from it. She is also known to be the twin-sister of the Goddess of Misfortune, Alakshmi.

As Lakshmi is associated with Prosperity, she is a great being to ask for help from when it comes to matters of finance. Particularly when it comes to big ticket items such as a new car, house or any other things that have a high cost attached to them. Lakshmi can help to ensure that such things are paid for easily and gracefully.

Lakshmi can also help everyone to not only receive Good Fortune but also to understand how they can align themselves to such fortune. She does so through helping all understand how being fortunate feels and ensures that everyone can be fortunate with everything being taken care of at all times. It is Lakshmi’s wish to help all experience these Good Fortune.

In order to help with this, something that Lakshmi does well is by showering everyone who is open to opportunities for prosperity with Divine Blessings. These can appear in any form from a gift of money for an occasion or even some money found when out walking. These Divine Blessings help all to realise that everyone is fortunate, and that Lakshmi and God is there helping you through life.

Whilst Lakshmi holds each of her roles close to her heart, she respects everyone’s Free Will and as such will not act unless one asks for the help. As such, a prayer is an ideal way to ask for her and God’s help. An example of a prayer that can be utilised is:

‘Dearest God and Lakshmi, please help me to align myself to the prosperous blessings that you wish to bestow on me so that I may be prosperous and fortunate in all that I do. For this, I give thanks. Amen.’

A simple, yet very effective in bringing forth their assistance and help. Though it is very important to always remember to give thanks for all that they do.

With the Divine Blessings of Prosperity and Good Fortune being bestowed on everyone, it can be easy to not notice such things as they can be taken for granted. It is a good thing for everyone to stop and give thanks to God and Lakshmi for these things so that all can be aware of these blessings in life.
