Saraswati is a deity who is known as the Goddess of the Knowledge, the Arts and Purity in Hindu Cosmology. As such, she is often depicted as a beautiful woman with four arms in which she holds a book, a lute in two hands and a set of Japa Mala Beads whilst riding a pure white swan.
As Saraswati is associated with Knowledge, she is a great being to call upon when something needs to be learned and understood. This is especially true when anyone is struggling to understand written instructions or the text that they are studying. Saraswati can help to clear the mind so that the information can be assimilated into the mind easily and gracefully.
While she clears the mind for Knowledge, Saraswati can also clear the mind so that Divine Inspiration May flow to take the form of the Arts. This includes poetry, music, painting, drawing, sculpting and any other art form. Saraswati recognises the beauty of creation by the Hand of God through humanity and as such, holds such creations in high esteem. She helps all who call upon her to achieve this in a beautiful and flowing manner.
Such a process as clearing the mind is done by Saraswati utilising the White Ray of Purity. This Ray goes through the energetic system of the body and removes any negative energies that are hindering the flow. Saraswati helps with this Ray because she knows the value of Knowledge and creativity in humanity’s world.
Whilst Saraswati holds each of her roles close to her heart, she respects everyone’s Free Will and as such will not act unless one asks for the help. As such, a prayer is an ideal way to ask for her and God’s help. An example of a prayer that can be utilised is:
‘Dearest God and Saraswati, please help me to be free of any blockages that are hindering me from becoming knowledgeable and creative in my life. For this, I give thanks. Amen.’
A simple, yet very effective in bringing forth their assistance and help. Though it is very important to always remember to give thanks for all that they do.
With the Knowledge, Creativity and Purity being bestowed on everyone, it can be easy to not notice such things as they can be taken for granted. It is a good thing for everyone to stop and give thanks to God and Saraswati for these things so that all can be aware of these wondrous blessings in life.
